7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha. Relax and enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s famous safari destinations, nestled in the foothills of Mount Meru.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds. Explore the park, home to baobab trees, lions, and various bird species. Enjoy a game drive before heading to your lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
Depart early for Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Descend into the crater to observe abundant wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, and wildebeest. Stay overnight at a lodge on the crater rim, with panoramic views.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park
Drive to Serengeti National Park, passing through scenic landscapes. Once there, embark on an afternoon game drive. Serengeti is famous for its annual migration and vast plains teeming with predators and prey.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Spend the entire day exploring Serengeti’s vast savannah. Witness the Great Migration (seasonal) and enjoy thrilling game drives, spotting lions, cheetahs, zebras, and giraffes. Return to your lodge for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Serengeti to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park. Explore the park’s diverse ecosystems, including its famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive, spotting flamingos and elephants along the lake shore. Overnight stay at a lodge.
Day 7: Departure from Arusha
Drive back to Arusha for your flight back home. If time permits, you can visit local markets or cultural sites before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.
